The Galloping Lane Horsemanship Program is a private, intentionally small lesson program designed for individuals who want to truly learn about horses. Our focus is on horsemanship in its fullest sense: safe handling, thoughtful care, clear communication, and riding that develops naturally from a solid foundation.

We are a small farm with a finite number of horses. For this reason, our program is limited by design. We prioritize horse welfare, individualized instruction, and meaningful relationships with our students. Many of our students become familiar faces, trusted handlers, and friends of the farm.

Our Philosophy

  • Horsemanship is the foundation of everything we teach

  • Private instruction only

  • Safety, patience, and respect guide all interactions

  • Riding is encouraged but not required

  • Horse well-being always comes first

Program Structure

All students begin with a New Rider Start Session, followed by placement into the appropriate learning path. Beginner riders are required to complete a full unmounted lesson focused solely on safe horse handling within their first month.

Lessons are offered in three paths:

  • Rider & Horsemanship

  • Ground-Based Horsemanship (No Riding Required)

  • Round Pen & Communication

Private Lessons Only

We offer private lessons exclusively. This allows us to tailor instruction, maintain a calm learning environment, and protect the physical and mental well-being of our horses.

Limited Enrollment

Enrollment in the Galloping Lane Horsemanship Program is limited. We reserve the right to pause new enrollment or maintain a waiting list when the program is full. This ensures that every student receives appropriate attention and that our horses are never overworked.
