About Us

Galloping Lane Farm was established in 2010. Our goal is to breed the modern sport horse. We have foundation Broodmares that carry strong lines of horses that are excellent cross country, brave and very sound. We then match our mares with stallions that will build on their strong points and then add to the foal suspension and movement and temperament that makes them better competition partners.

Galloping Lane Farm is owned and operated by Bill Carlucci and Liz Woodfield. We take pride in the fact that we do most of the farm labor ourselves which in turn leads to very well socialized and healthy horses. Both Liz and Bill have been involved with horses since they were children, and both took horses to college with them. Bill went on to have a very successful campaign on the U.S. Rowing team and won a bronze medal in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Bill has coached rowing at the international level and is a very seasoned competitor. He rides and competes horses that have been bred by Galloping Lane Farm. Liz has ridden all her life and loves the breeding and training aspect of the horses. Liz also competes the horses that have been bred and raised by Galloping Lane Farm and is also a successful competitor.

The main goals of Galloping Lane Farm are:

  • To breed warmblood crosses and ISHs that are athletic and superior athletes.

  • To handle, raise and nurture our developing athletes through their formative years.

  • To start our young athletes in a kind process that maintains and subsequently builds the bond and trust between rider and horse.
