About Us

Founded in 2010, Galloping Lane Farm, LLC is dedicated to breeding the modern sport horse, guided by the same horsemanship principles that shape our instructional program. Our foundation broodmares carry exceptional bloodlines known for bravery, soundness, and superior cross-country ability. Each mare is thoughtfully paired with stallions that enhance their strengths—improving suspension, movement, and temperament—to produce well-rounded partners for sport and competition. This philosophy carries through to our private horseback riding lessons, which emphasize safety, patience, respect, and horse well-being, with riding developing naturally from a foundation of correct handling, thoughtful care, and clear communication.

Galloping Lane Farm is proudly owned and operated by Bill Carlucci and Liz Woodfield. Because we handle most of the farm work ourselves, our horses are exceptionally well-socialized and cared for. Both Liz and Bill have been lifelong horse enthusiasts, even bringing their horses with them to college. Beyond his equestrian involvement, Bill enjoyed a highly successful athletic career, earning a bronze medal with the U.S. Rowing Team at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and later coaching at the international level. He remains an active rider and competitor, often showing horses bred here at the farm. Liz has ridden her entire life and is passionate about the breeding and training process. She also competes horses raised at Galloping Lane and is a successful competitor in her own right.
